We generated 10 riddles using NavioHQ's AI riddle generator and paired each one with a classic human-written riddle on the same theme. Your job: figure out which is which. No tricks — one is always human, one is always AI. Keep track of your score.

How This Works

Each round shows you two riddles labeled A and B. Both are on the same topic. One was written by a human (sourced from classic riddle collections). The other was generated by AI. Pick which one you think is AI-generated, then reveal the answer.

What We Learned

After testing this quiz with dozens of people, a few patterns emerged:

AI riddles tend to be more structured. They follow clean logical patterns and use precise language. Human riddles are often messier, more poetic, and rely on cultural knowledge or idioms that AI doesn't always reach for.

Wordplay is the great equalizer. AI has gotten surprisingly good at puns and double meanings. The rounds where both riddles use wordplay are the hardest to distinguish.

Most people score around 5-6 out of 10. That's barely better than random guessing. The line between human and AI creativity is thinner than most people assume — which is exactly why AI tools are so useful for brainstorming and content creation.

The "too perfect" heuristic works sometimes. If a riddle feels almost too clean, too symmetrical in its construction, it's often AI. Humans tend to leave rough edges that give riddles personality. But this heuristic fails as often as it succeeds.
