Genesis. It covers creation, the fall, the flood, and the stories of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph.

Six days. God rested on the seventh day, establishing the Sabbath (Genesis 1-2).

Noah. God instructed him to build it from gopher wood and bring two of every animal (Genesis 6-9).

A rainbow. God placed it in the sky as a promise never to flood the entire earth again (Genesis 9:13).

Abraham. God tested his faith by asking him to sacrifice Isaac, then provided a ram instead (Genesis 22).

His birthright. As the firstborn, Esau traded his inheritance rights for a single meal (Genesis 25:29-34).

Ten plagues: water to blood, frogs, gnats, flies, livestock disease, boils, hail, locusts, darkness, and death of the firstborn (Exodus 7-12).

Peter. He denied knowing Jesus three times before the rooster crowed, just as Jesus predicted (Matthew 26:69-75).

Three days. He was crucified on Friday and rose on Sunday morning (Matthew 28:1-6).

The Holy Spirit descended on the apostles. They spoke in different languages and about 3,000 people were baptized that day (Acts 2).

Paul (also called Saul of Tarsus). He wrote 13 epistles — Romans through Philemon — making up nearly half the New Testament books.

Revelation. Written by John, it describes visions of the end times and the new heaven and new earth.

'Jesus wept.' (John 11:35). Jesus cried at the tomb of his friend Lazarus before raising him from the dead.

Adam and Eve. God created Adam from dust and Eve from Adam's rib in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 2).

The Bible says 'fruit from the tree of knowledge of good and evil' — it doesn't specify the type. Tradition often calls it an apple, but the text never names it (Genesis 3:6).

Two of each kind (one male and one female), though clean animals came in groups of seven (Genesis 7:2-3).

David. He was a young shepherd who defeated the Philistine warrior Goliath with a sling and a stone (1 Samuel 17).

Mary. The angel Gabriel told her she would give birth to the Son of God (Luke 1:26-38).

Nazareth, a small town in Galilee. That's why he was often called 'Jesus of Nazareth' (Matthew 2:23).

Carpenter (or craftsman/builder). Jesus likely learned the trade growing up (Matthew 13:55).

The Red Sea (also translated as 'Sea of Reeds'). The waters divided and the Israelites crossed on dry ground (Exodus 14:21-22).

Peter. He stepped out of the boat and walked toward Jesus but began sinking when he lost focus (Matthew 14:28-31).

Manna — a white, flaky substance that tasted like wafers made with honey. God provided it every morning for 40 years (Exodus 16:14-35).

Through a burning bush that was on fire but did not burn up. God told Moses to remove his sandals because he was on holy ground (Exodus 3:2-5).

He called fire down from heaven to consume a water-soaked sacrifice, proving God's power against the prophets of Baal (1 Kings 18:30-39).

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. King Nebuchadnezzar saw a fourth figure walking with them in the flames (Daniel 3).

He turned six stone jars of water into wine — about 120-180 gallons. The master of the banquet said it was the best wine of the evening (John 2:1-11).

He made mud with saliva and dirt, spread it on the man's eyes, and told him to wash in the Pool of Siloam. The man came back seeing (John 9:1-7).

The Israelites marched around the city once a day for six days, then seven times on the seventh day. When the priests blew trumpets and the people shouted, the walls collapsed (Joshua 6).

Elijah. A chariot of fire and horses separated him from Elisha, and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven (2 Kings 2:11).

Saul. The prophet Samuel anointed him at God's direction after the people demanded a king (1 Samuel 10:1).

Solomon. God offered him anything, and he asked for wisdom. He later built the first Temple in Jerusalem (1 Kings 3:5-12).

Manasseh. He reigned 55 years in Jerusalem but was one of the most wicked kings, though he eventually repented (2 Chronicles 33:1-13).

Belshazzar of Babylon. The words 'Mene, Mene, Tekel, Upharsin' appeared during a feast. Daniel interpreted them as God's judgment on the kingdom (Daniel 5).

Pontius Pilate. He found no fault in Jesus but gave in to the crowd's demands and ordered crucifixion (Matthew 27:11-26).

David. He is credited with writing about 75 of the 150 Psalms, including Psalm 23 ('The Lord is my shepherd').

Jezebel, wife of King Ahab. She promoted Baal worship and killed many prophets of God (1 Kings 19:1-2).

That was led by Nehemiah, who served as governor rather than king. He organized the rebuilding in just 52 days (Nehemiah 6:15).

Matthias. The remaining eleven apostles cast lots and Matthias was chosen to restore the group to twelve (Acts 1:23-26).

The Bible doesn't name him directly. Most scholars point to Ramesses II or his successor. Moses confronted him with ten plagues before the exodus (Exodus 5-12).

The Garden of Eden. It was described as having every tree pleasant to sight and good for food, with four rivers flowing through it (Genesis 2:8-14).

Mount Sinai (also called Mount Horeb). Moses was on the mountain for 40 days and 40 nights (Exodus 24:18).

Jericho. It was the first city conquered in the Promised Land after the Israelites crossed the Jordan River (Joshua 6).

Golgotha, also called Calvary, meaning 'Place of the Skull.' It was just outside the walls of Jerusalem (Matthew 27:33).

The road from Jerusalem to Jericho — about 17 miles of steep, winding terrain known as a dangerous route for travelers (Luke 10:30).

On the road to Damascus. A bright light blinded him and Jesus spoke to him directly. He regained his sight three days later (Acts 9:1-19).

Jerusalem, specifically on Mount Moriah. Construction took seven years (1 Kings 6:1-38).

The Sea of Galilee (also called Lake Gennesaret or the Sea of Tiberias). It is a freshwater lake in northern Israel (Matthew 14:25).

Egypt. God raised up Moses to deliver them through the exodus (Exodus 12:40-41).

Jacob's Well, near the town of Sychar in Samaria. Jesus offered her 'living water' (John 4:5-14).

Methuselah. He lived 969 years according to Genesis 5:27. His name has become a byword for extreme longevity.

Psalms, with 150 chapters. Isaiah is the longest prophetic book with 66 chapters.

Esther. Despite never naming God directly, the book describes divine providence working through Queen Esther to save the Jewish people.

Stephen. He was stoned to death after giving a speech to the Sanhedrin. Saul (later Paul) was present and approved of his execution (Acts 7:54-60).

A scarlet cord (red rope). She had hidden two Israelite spies, and the cord signaled her home to be protected (Joshua 2:18-21).

Lot's wife. She looked back at the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah despite being warned not to (Genesis 19:26).
